Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, the Honourable Phillip Watts, welcomed Trinidad and Tobago national swimmer Liam Carrington and his family to the Ministry’s Head Office at Nicholas Towers for a courtesy visit, joined by Permanent Secretary Penelope Bradshaw-Niles.
During the meeting, Minister Watts congratulated Carrington on his stellar performance at the 2025 Speedo Winter Junior Championships in Indianapolis, where he earned five medals, including three gold, one silver and one bronze, and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting his continued development ahead of upcoming competitions.
Carrington expressed appreciation for the opportunity to meet with Minister Watts and thanked him for publicly recognising his achievements on the international stage.
