The Honourable Phillip Watts, Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, today received a courtesy call from a delegation of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), comprising Mr. Ugo Blanco, Resident Representative; Ms. Isele Robinson-Cooper, Programme Manager; and Ms. Amanda Ackabarali-Ramdial. The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Ms. Penelope Bradshaw-Niles, was also in attendance.
During the meeting, discussions centered on potential areas of collaboration between the Ministry and UNDP to empower young people aged 13 to 16. The initiative aims to address mindset transformation and support the development of innovative, impactful programmes for youth across Trinidad and Tobago.
Both parties agreed to continue conversations in the coming weeks to advance a formal partnership that will strengthen youth engagement and capacity-building efforts nationwide.
